Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. As a cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers & Waiters handling cash, M-Pesa and credit card transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Handle cash, M-Pesa and credit card transactions speedy, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have.
- Count and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Communicate returns and exchanges.
- Maintain Security of the Cash drawer
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school, diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Computerized cashiering through POS.
- Prior experience as a Cashier or in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions during busy hours accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, night shifts and holidays as needed
- Fluent in English and Swahili – both spoken and written
