Scientists and psychologists have been studying the correlation between color and the human mind for years, and the results are polarizing. Some believe that color psychology is a pseudoscience used to market products and influence individuals, while others stand firm that color impacts a person’s everyday life.[3]
No matter what you believe, there’s no denying that certain colors are associated with certain emotions and characteristics. For instance, black is typically worn at funerals as it symbolizes mourning, grief, and death. Red, on the other hand, can be associated with the burning, flaming passion of love or anger.[4]

Blue is generally peaceful and calming. However, its darker hues can represent doubt and worry.
Purple symbolizes prosperity. This rich color is often associated with royalty, luxury, and spirituality.
White is the universal color for cleanliness. It’s commonly used to represent purity, innocence, and honesty.
Black is associated with power, death, and mystery. This color brings on mournful, fearful, and uncertain emotions.
