We are a reputable Tour Operating Company seeking an experienced and hardworking Transport Operations Officer to oversee Transport Operations at our Offices in Arusha.

Duties and Responsibilities
Daily Duties
Supervising safari bookings and charting and confirming all assignments.
Handling all day-to-day operations including Charting the vehicle for the Safari and briefing drivers.
Supervising the work performance of Driver guides, Mountain Guides, Safari chefs, etc.
Being familiar with tour routes facilitates effective communication between Tour Guides and the company’s office.
Preparing the sales team for pre-safari briefings of the trip.
Preparing guides for the safari including selecting the guides according to the client’s needs.
Cross-checking the itineraries from the sales team whether its properly prepared.
Checking weekly/Monthly reports of the vehicles, including checking the quality of the cars and ensuring that all transport fleet vehicles are utilized properly, ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
Communicating and finalizing the Trip expenses well in advance.
Identifying & resolving operational issues and potential problems including conducting regular performance reviews of drivers and other transportation staff.
Managing the hiring, training, and supervision of drivers and other transportation staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Ensuring that transportation-related data is accurate and up to date.
Developing and implementing transportation-related breakdown recovery plans
General Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 year’s experience in the hospitality industry.
Previous experience working with the NCAA, TANAPA, and WMA permit system will be highly valued.
Experience working in the Hospitality industry is preferable.
Experience with safari routes and Tanapa gates will be highly valued.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good Communication Skills i.e., English speaking.
