Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) was established in 2004 as the Moshi University College of Cooperative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS) under the University of Dar es Salaam. It was established to provide higher education and research in the fields of cooperative development, business studies, and related areas. In 2014, the government of Tanzania upgraded MUCCoBS to a full-fledged university and renamed it Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). This was in recognition of the university’s contribution to cooperative development and business education in Tanzania.Since its establishment, MoCU has grown and developed significantly. It has expanded its programs to include new fields such as agriculture, tourism, and information technology. The university has also established partnerships with local and international organizations to enhance its research and outreach activities. MoCU’s vision is to become a leading institution of higher learning and research in cooperative development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development in Africa. The university is committed to achieving this vision through quality education, innovative research, and community engagement.
